Favre to Jets
Jets fans are smiling this morning with the acquisition of Favre, for reports of a conditional 4th round pick. The Jets have made quite a few upgrades on both sides of the ball this off-season and this one has certainly made the biggest splash. This bodes well for the entire offense. Wide receivers Coles and Cotchery as well as Tight Ends Chris Baker and Rookie Dustin Keeler should see more action. Favre’s strong arm is just what the Jets need in the windy Meadowlands. The ability to get the ball down field should open things up for Thomas Jones as Defenders will not be able to cheat toward the line of scrimmage.
Fantasy Impact: Big for Cotchery, Coles, and T. Jones
Favre will play with a chip on his shoulder but do not expect the great season he had a year ago.
This needs to stop

Brett Farve needs to recognize that the team that loved him needs to move on. Stop this charade, the constant waffling back and forth on this subject (and now you want to play) as it is tarnishing your legacy. The effects of Brett’s indecision affects the team, Aaron Rodgers, and how the Packers drafted this year. Brett was a start, and probably can play to the level he did last year, but he wanted retirement
The Packers are correct in my opinion to hold the hard line of not releasing Brett. The support they have shown him over the years should not translate into this man ending up at the helm of a team in their division (See Tavaris Jackson, John Kitna, Rex Grossman) .
A players body breaks down over the course of a season, so it is likely that Brett felt he had enough of that pounding after last season. Now that those wounds have healed it only stands to reason he feels good and thoughts of playing would fill his head, but it is time to move on BECAUSE you said you would.
Brett Farve is one of the greatest to play the game, but like so many before him, he is just not understanding the true impact in trying to stay.
I am sure there will be more to this story.
