QB
7.15.08 Peyton Manning will be out 4-6 weeks with an infected bursa sac. This needed to be removed from his left knee. This will cause the QB to miss the start of training camp.
“The procedure was routine. The Colts’ medical staff expects a full and complete return to action,” stated Colts president Bill Polian.
Prognosis: While this will cut Manning’s camp short, it will likely keep the veteran stronger going into the season. A bit of a rest will help the aging vet withstand the long year, and he should show no ill effects from this type of injury. Fantasy players should gauge his progress as drafts approach, but he is still a first round lock.
